Ariela Kader is an emerging Costa Rican artist who recently obtained her BFA in Fine Arts from Parsons The New School for Design. She has exhibited in San Jose, Costa Rica, New York and Scope Art Miami. Kader currently lives and works in New York City.

The artists interprets the compositions of trash bags along 14th street, relating them to social actions or events.  Through her labels, she creates portraits of the consumerist society that we live in, that place us and trash bags on the same level: we are what we consume – we are what we throw away.
